“Many people who want to be writers don’t really want to be writers. They want to have been writers. They wish they had a book in print.”
Do Michener’s words strike a chord with you? People often tell us they have great book ideas, or partially written manuscripts they haven’t gotten around to completing. Perhaps you’re a speaker, and you know that having a published book or two would boost your credentials, and generate additional revenue for you on your website, or via “back of the room” sales.
Maybe you’re a pastor, business executive or ministry leader with an important story to tell, but you don’t have the time or the expertise to tackle what can be a daunting project.
That’s where we can help. One approach is for us to ghostwrite your book, with only your name shown as the author. The process is relatively simple. No matter where you’re located, we can handle everything via computer, telephone and/or mail. We can work from your handwritten notes, audiotapes, faxed or emailed documents, or hard copy. And, if you’re located near us, we’ll be glad to meet with you periodically.
Maybe your book just needs some editing, and we’ve done dozens of such projects. Again, only your name will appear as the author. Using an outside party to edit and proofread your work is always a good idea, because even experienced writers have trouble spotting errors in their own work.
Once Upon a Time
There’s great power in stories. The opening words “Once upon a time” have captured the attention of readers and listeners for centuries. I spotted them in the headline of an article in SUCCESS magazine. According to writer Emma Johnson: “Storytelling is the oldest form of communication. Long before Hollywood blockbusters, prime-time TV and viral videos, tales of hardship and triumph captured the hearts and minds of humankind.”
In addition to our quote collection, we have thousands of stories, illustrations and anecdotes on a wide range of topics in our library. For example, if you have some articles or speeches you’d like to convert to books, but don’t have enough material, we can help. For some clients, we’ve expanded their manuscripts by more than 50 percent, by seamlessly adding not only supporting quotes in every chapter, but stories and other materials that illustrate and validate the points you wish to make.
We can help write, edit and/or proof your articles, speeches, brochures, newsletters, media releases, reports and website copy. And, when you’re looking for stories, quotes and/or illustrations – those special ingredients – for your next speech, book or article, let us know. We’ll be happy to help you.
Send us a sample of your writing and we’ll evaluate it for you – without cost or obligation of any kind.
We never charge clients on an hourly basis, or by any other open-ended method. We’ll set a “not-to-exceed” figure for your project. It may be adjusted downward, but never upward, so you always know your maximum cost. Our standard procedure with new clients is for a retainer of 25 percent, with the balance due on completion of the project – to your complete satisfaction. On large projects, other payment terms may be arranged.
